Nicki turned her SheShed Star cabin into a cosy sun-filled study in her backyard, perfect for relaxing, working and watching the sunset.
When Nicki first came across the SheShed website, she was immediately impressed by the variety of designs and sizes available, meaning she could explore the full SheShed cabin range with her own needs in mind.
“The first time I saw your SheShed site I was so impressed with the different designs and sizes and the way they had been built to suit so many different purposes.”
While she explored other options, she kept returning to SheShed, feeling drawn to the style and quality. Eventually, she thought, why not?
Nicki & Tony’s SheShed Build Experience
After placing the order, Nicki was contacted by the SheShed team, who ensured everything ran smoothly. Their Star cabin SheShed arrived just before Christmas. With a little preparation of removing an existing water tank and replacing it with a slimline version and moving it to a new position along the fence, the 3m x 3m Star cabin fit perfectly onto their existing concrete slab.
Nicki’s partner, Tony, took on the role of SheShed builder, and here’s what he had to say about the process:
“I must confess to some trepidation when the construction material was deposited on our driveway, but the amazing kit and construction manual was well thought out with people like me in mind.
It was clear and concise, but it was the calming phone call with Lizzie from the SheShed team that set a clear path. Her comforting ‘you got this!’ was all I needed.
“With the help of some mates, construction was incredibly simple and quick. I was amazed at the end of the weekend how complete the shed was. A few days here and there for power, painting and interior fixtures and it was done. Honestly, it was heaps of fun and very satisfying.”
Multifunctional Uses and Natural Tones
Their Star cabin has become a warm, sunny, and welcoming space that they enjoy all year round.
The couple use it as a study and also enjoy spending time there relaxing together and using it as a garden retreat to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset, and the occasional curious magpie dropping by to say hello.
Nicki says it feels like the cabin has always been there. “It is like it has always been here in our garden and we can’t imagine what we did before we had it. It now has wall mounted heating which has really made a big difference in winter, making it very warm helped by the double-glazed windows and door.”
A Perfect Space To Enjoy!
Their friends and family love it too, often commenting on how well it suits their garden.
Nicki agrees that her and Tony couldn’t be happier with their SheShed.
