Having down-sized to a small cottage over the past year, we chose the SheShed as the best option for extra space.

We us it as a studio-come-office to house our art stuff, my sewing machine, desk and even a day bed for the odd afternoon nap (the cat is using it more than I do!) and there is still space to spare.

Before the SheShed was assembled, we built a sturdy, level platform which extends a foot around the base. Then I added a pebble garden for that ‘beach hut’ look. We did hire a first-rate tradesman and his dedicated and hard-working wife to erect the SheShed, feeling it little beyond the capabilities of a couple of octogenarians.

We installed underfloor insulation before the flooring went down and my husband, a retired decorator, applied three coats of paint inside and out within a week of it being assembled.
